Visual Orchestra (VisOrc) is a graphical design environment basedaround the Csound audio processing language. VisOrc creates Csoundscript files, orchestras (.ORC) and scores (.SCO) and then passes thesefiles to Csound (a seperate executable file which is available free onthe Internet). Csound will render your sound to a WAV or AIF file,which VisOrc can load into its internal audio player or alternatively,play directly on your soundcard in real-time. This means you can doall of your work with Csound in a single, consistent environment,without typing scripts or switching between windows.
